Rosalia
Rosalia Vila (aka Rosalia) is a Spanish pop singer and flamenco performer. From her teens, she's embraced the edges of both popular and traditional music. Additionally, she is a pioneer in the realms of hip-hop, trap and soul. Her voice has been called by no less of an artist than the Flamenco guitar player Pepe Habichuela as sweet and sharp, and with a bite that is similar to the old ones. Following her debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned her a Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist and her follow-up album in 2018. El Mal Querer was a significant commercial and critical success that topped the Billboard Latin Pop Albums chart and finally winning an Grammy. La Fama, featuring The Weeknd is due out in 2021. Motomami featured songwriting partnerships with many artists including Cory Henry, James Blake and many others. The release date was the 20th of March, 2022 following the performance by Chicken Teriyaki by Saturday Night Live. Rosalia was the only solo performer on the show for the very first time ever on the program. Along with taking home three more Latin Grammy Awards for Motomami Rosalia was also the first female to be awarded this award twice. Latin Album of the Year twice.
